Job Summary

Delivering Food for base pay plus tips.

Food prep and cleaning in between deliveries.

The Food Preparation Worker plays a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with the preparation of food items, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and serving. This position requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen while supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals.

Duties

• Prepare and chop ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, and meats according to recipes and specifications.
• Assist in cooking and assembling food items for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and utensils.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared safely and hygienically.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, and ovens under supervision.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for moving supplies or ingredients within the kitchen or warehouse setting.
• Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Support delivery operations by loading and unloading food products from box trucks or vans when necessary.

Skills

• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Experience working in a warehouse or kitchen environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with team members and clients.
• Valid driver's license with experience in route driving or commercial driving is beneficial for potential delivery tasks.
• Capability to assist with moving supplies efficiently within the kitchen or storage areas.

Pay: $11.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
