Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both Satellite companies, compliance with all payroll regulations, and providing excellent customer service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees using the UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) system.
- ensure employee data is accurate and up-to-date within the UKG system.
- Collaborate with the HR team to keep records accurate and up to date.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll and tax regulations, and ensure compliance with laws.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, garnishments, verification of employment, and changes in employment status.
- Coordinate deductions for employee benefits, and ensure proper allocation of funds within payroll process.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends and serve as the initial point of contact for employee inquiries and payroll issues; respond professionally and empathetically.
- Identify and resolve employee concerns in a timely manner, to ensure their satisfaction, confidentiality, and exceed expectations.
- Organize HR orientation and train new hires and new managers on UKG and Workforce Management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience using UKG preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in payroll software, specifically UKG.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex payroll issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively and efficiently.
