Warehouse/Assembly Operations Manager

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for management of the warehouse as well as the assembly of
product to ensure product shipment and supplies are processed in a safe and timely manner to
Satellite standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Strategically manage departments in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Plan, coordinate, and manage warehouse, shipping and receiving functions, and
assembly to ensure all company objectives and production goals are continually met.
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Ensure assembly of product is completed to Satellite standards.
• Supervise staff in designation of work assignments, providing instruction and direction
for fulfillment of tasks, reviewing completed work, providing input for performance
appraisals and disciplinary actions, as well as other supervisory requirements.
• Provide continuing oversight and training of staff to increase productivity, knowledge,
skills, and abilities.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and
condition of shipments.
• Monitor and review all reporting and resolve any discrepancies in inventory reporting or
similar issues.
• Review and/or complete shipping documentation including notices, orders, and other
related documentation as necessary adhering to all warehousing, handling, shipping,
and hazmat legislation requirements.
• Ensure staff adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures. Modify and improve
safety practices as needed.
• Review overall operations and processes and identify areas for improvement for all
functions.
• Offer recommendations to upper management for improvement and implement
necessary changes with sustained success.
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position manages all employees, temps, and contractors working within the shipping and
receiving department and assembly department.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years’ of management experience leading a high-volume manufacturing
warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience and understanding of hazmat regulations and shipment preferred
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S desirable
• Bachelor’s degree preferable but not required.

Physical/Mental Demands:
Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting
strict deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform duties using both typical office
equipment such as computers, cell phones, and printers as well as the ability to communicate
and perform tasks in a manufacturing/workshop environment. Must be able to perform physical
and mental tasks associated within a manufacturing environment.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters, inc/Satellite Industries, Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
