Now, we're looking for a Head of AI Engineering to drive our AI strategy, build scalable models for real-time satellite communications, and lead the development of space-based edge computing.
Jobs to Be Done (Key Outcomes)
As Head of AI Engineering , you will :
Develop AI-Driven Edge Computing Models - Design and deploy low-latency AI models that process and analyze data directly on satellites.
Optimize AI for Intersatellite Links - Build software solutions that enable seamless, AI-powered communication between satellites without reliance on ground stations.
Lead AI Model Deployment - Architect AI / ML solutions that scale across a distributed, low-power satellite network while ensuring performance, efficiency, and security .
Drive AI Research & Innovation - Explore applications of federated learning, reinforcement learning, and neural compression for satellite AI processing.
Build and Scale the AI Team - Hire, mentor, and manage a world-class AI engineering team focused on space applications.
Who You Are (Skills & Experience)
8 years in AI / ML engineering , including 3 years in leadership roles .
Proven experience building AI models for edge computing, distributed systems, or space applications .
Strong software engineering background in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch , and AI model optimization techniques.
Experience deploying AI in real-time, low-latency, or constrained environments (e.g., edge devices, satellites, IoT, defense systems, robotics, or autonomous systems) .
Understanding of AI model security, adversarial AI, and data resilience in extreme environments.
Knowledge of intersatellite communications, remote sensing, or cloud AI pipelines is a strong plus.
Passionate about AI-driven space computing and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment .
