Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operations Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Operations Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our servers and computing hardware and infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our operations, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the rapidly evolving industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operating Safety, conducting field work in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) applicable regulations, encourage good employee safety practices, participate in employee safety culture, following and updating Safety Procedures to ensure best practices are being kept up to date.
- Develop and implement operation focused feedback and solutions for planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development, and overall operations performance.
- Manages own training schedules and meets all training requirements within designated time frames for meeting career path expectations.
- Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities and tooling
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on server hardware, including computers and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze performance; power consumption, temperature, and other metrics.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for equipment repair needs, part replacements, or upgrades needed on site.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment, including serial numbers, locations, and specifications.
- Implement and enforce strict security protocols to protect operations from physical and other threats.
- Motivated and able to stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in industry technology.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimize operations and performances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degrees in electrical engineering, networking and IT, or related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting servers and/or computer hardware.
- Computer savvy
- Able to solve problems independently
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Top applicants will have:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with mining software and monitoring tools (BTC Tools, Foreman, Toolkit, etc.)
- Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and cooling solutions used in large data center applications.
- Understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a data center environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
