The Role: We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Safety Instructor to join our team and deliver engaging, high-quality training that prepares individuals for industry certifications. In this role, you will use your expertise in adult education and public speaking to teach comprehensive health and safety courses, fostering a positive and interactive learning environment. You will play a key part in empowering participants to grow in their roles by ensuring they master course material tailored for real-world applications. Job Type: Part-Time, Contract, based out of Anchorage!
Compensation: $32.32 - $35.10 per hour, depending on experience.
Hours: Flexible schedule with an expected range of 8 to 40 hours per week, based on course demand and availability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in adult education or teaching, with strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities to develop and deliver structured lesson plans that meet educational objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Ability to foster a positive and interactive learning environment, encouraging participation and understanding.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting health and safety practices in a way that empowers participants to succeed.
- Ability to travel across the state of Alaska 5-7 times per year, with trips lasting up to one week each, to support training sessions and project needs in various locations.
- HAZWOPER and OSHA Construction certification preferred; employer will provide training if necessary!
