We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to work on ground up hotel project in Fredericksburg, TX. This will be a 2 yearlong project, afterwards you will be based in our Houston Business Unit.

- Manage and help develop Project Engineers, foreman and craft persons
- Assist the Area Superintendent with the scheduling and coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries
- Ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality, and that the receiving tickets are properly signed and coded and forwarded to the account department
- Assist the Area Superintendent coordinate, schedule and manage all subcontractors and vendors, expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis and identify and resolve construction problems as they develop
- Help the Superintendent maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records.
- Assist with project planning – support the development and execution of the pre-job plan. Assist with determining the construction techniques to be used to construct the project.
- Assist the Area Superintendent comply with all job site reporting requirements, including daily reports, sos, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the “two week look-aheads” and monthly updates to the construction schedule.
- Help Project Managers comply with submittal schedule, contract documents and company reporting requirements
- Attending all jobsite meetings
- Maintain safety standards – monitor safety planning, execution, and documentation on assigned project.
- Maintain quality consistent with company standards
- Identify all potential change orders and back – charges that may affect project profitability and document them to the extent required
- Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents
- Notifying the Superintendent for labor and material needs
- Strives to satisfy the customer, subcontractor, vendor, and company.
- Assist with the management of the preparation of the CPM baseline, monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives, and CPM fragments with changes and delays.
- Plan, staff and manage self-performance activities.
- May operate heavy equipment such as skid steer, backhoe, scissor lift and forklift
- Other duties as assigned.
