Description
This req is for current Construction Management students looking for full time work in December 2024 or Summer 2025.
The Project Engineer / Field will assist with the management of the project under the supervision of the Project Manager and / or Superintendent, in order to ensure that project is safe, within budget, on schedule, in compliance with the company's quality standards and to the customer's satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assist with the monthly CPM schedule updates and narratives.
- Reviewing and processing submittals to achieve the project schedule in accordance with the contract documents.
- Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and re-submittals summarized in the "Submittal Log".
- Expediting the material deliveries of subcontractors and vendors in accordance with the CPM schedule and coordinated with the Project Team.
- Material Receiving - Be sure that material is properly inspected for quantity and quality. Ensure that all material is in conformance with the contract documents and approved submittals.
- Management of the RFI Process and ensuring the drawings are posted and up to date.
- Assist in subcontractor preconstruction meetings.
- Safety Planning and Performance - Actively engaged in the SOS Program.
- Participation in the S&P Quality Control Program.
- Cost Control - Manage specific budgets within the cost control.
- Accumulate all necessary data for monthly owner and subcontractor pay apps, as assigned.
- Assist with management of field initiated purchasing.
- Assist with production analysis studies.
- Closing out the project in accordance with the contract documents and company policy.
- Assist in change management process.
- Regular worksite attendance required
- Other duties as assigned.
