SATTI ENTERPRISE is a Virginia based leading transportation company focused on servicing The Port of Virginia, dedicated to safety, efficiency, and compliance with federal and state regulations. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented DOT Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure our fleet and operations meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Manage driver qualification files, ensuring all required documents are up to date.
- Oversee Hours of Service (HOS) logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
- Conduct audits and inspections of company records, vehicles, and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs, including pre-employment, random, and post-accident screenings.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, vehicle inspections, and driver training.
- Provide guidance and training to drivers and staff on DOT regulations and company policies.
- Assist with accident investigations and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes within the company.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in DOT compliance, fleet management, or a related field within the trucking industry.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Experience with ELD systems and compliance monitoring, SAMSARA preferred.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and educate drivers and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in DOT compliance or transportation safety.
- Previous experience working with a trucking company.
