SUMMARY:
Saturn Petcare, Inc. has a new state of the art, pet foods manufacturing facility. Maintenance is required for both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance. Maintenance Technicians will work both in teams and in conjunction with production to ensure machine availability is maximized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Corrective and preventative maintenance on automated production equipment.
- Support continuous Improvement activities and projects.
- Support facility maintenance tasks as necessary.

Qualifications and Duties:

- Machine troubleshooting
- PLC knowledge
- Hand and power tools
- Pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret wiring and mechanical Diagrams
- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of technical procedures and manuals
- General understanding of intermediate mathematics
- Problem solving skills using root cause analysis and reasoning ability
- Stand for prolonged periods
- Frequently lift and / or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Can work independently or in a team environment and demonstrates pride in workmanship
Education and/or Experience:
- HS diploma required
- Associate degree preferred; experience in maintenance role can be used in lieu of degree.
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred.
