Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:

Promotes and maintains the Company’s mission, values, and culture. Provides exceptional communication and service to employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Meet operational expectations and standards in line with Safety, GMP’s and SQF/Food Safety procedures and policies
• Determine equipment needed to cover warehouse operations and maintain safe and working equipment
• Oversee that the warehouse sanitation program
• Maintain and update output information for KPI’s
• Work with Production, Procurement, Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Quality for streamlined operating plans
• Oversee the Shipping/Receiving Schedule
• Support production by continuously supplying RM’s and Packaging per the production plan and process orders
• Maintain Shipping and Receiving records
• Maintain SOP’s and Work Instructions for shipping and receiving and warehouse operations that uphold the integrity of high standards for quality of goods being shipped and received
• Allergen monitoring during the receiving and storage processes
• Maintain a warehouse plan that is streamlined and meets the most efficient flow for storage and workflow
• Participate and support strategic planning for the department
• Work with and support supervisors, managers, and directors in all departments daily and on company committees focused on improvements and growth
• Select and schedule carriers for FOB customer shipments and any other transport activity as necessary
• Work to create and sustain relationships with local carriers
• Knowledge in import and export logistics

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Orients and train current employees and new hires. Monitors and evaluates employee work of warehouse staff and set goals for warehouse staff and warehouse operations. Oversee that the warehouse sanitation program is being followed. Review SOP’s and Work Instructions and update as needed when there are changes to internal or external procedures.

Education and/or Experience:

• SAP knowledge and experience
• Experience with WMS

Computer and Technology Skills:

The successful candidate will be proficient in MS Office applications, Minitab, SAP or other ERP systems

Ability to motivate and influence others. Significant level of diplomacy and trust. Excellent oral and written communications abilities. Professional image that promotes Saturn Petcare’s brand and culture. Excellent judgment and decision-making skills. Solid interpersonal abilities. Excellent presentation and organizational skills. Ability to write clear, concise emails, facilitate meetings and give presentations.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
