What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wireless Operational Support Engineer position at Satwic Inc?
Job Details
Without supervision or assistance from others, be able to:
effectively configure and troubleshoot Cisco and/or Client/Aruba Wireless
Controller and Access Points is highly preferred.
Effectively configure, and troubleshoot AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) system such as Client/Aruba ClearPass system is highly preferred.
Effectively manage, upgrade and utilize network monitoring tools and systems such as Aruba/Client Airwave on VMware platforms.
Excellent understanding and hands on experience on troubleshooting routing and switch protocols such as BGP & MPLS.
Good working knowledge on Wireless Spectrum analyzer.
As an escalation point, provide technical support to lower-level engineers.
Work off hours to resolve urgent operational issues if necessary.
Configuring a variety of networking and telecommunications equipment.
Analyzing and solving varies wireless and networking problems.
Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.
Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and orally.
Setting priorities and successfully completing tasks in a timely manner.
Related tasks:
Update incident tickets and work orders to Remedy system.
Use Microsoft outlook and Team for day-to-day communications.
Provides training to lower-level engineers.
Rearranging Network equipment
Install and configure network equipment.
Install network modules, cards.
Install Cat6e/Fiber patch Cords
Troubleshoot LAN and WAN issues.
Maintain effective relationships with District personnel and other organizations.
A California Driver's license, use of a car and be able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or Aruba/Client ClearPass related certificate is highly preferred.
