What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reading Specialist K-8 position at SAU#107 - Nottingham School District?
Nottingham School is seeking a highly qualified reading specialist with knowledge and experience in direct reading interventions and programming (Science of Reading, Spire, Orton Gillingham, Wilson, etc.) to support students and staff. Successful candidates will preferably have a minimum of three years experience. Candidates will be part of an Intervention team approach to educating students with reading and/or writing needs and will have experience working with multidisciplinary teams. - provide direct reading instruction,
- collect and analyze data,
- facilitate data meetings,
- co-teach with classroom teachers,
- comprehensive understanding of MTSS/Response to Intervention framework,
- understand using and interpreting normed assessments,
- Orton Gillingham based strategies,
- implementation of intervention plans and IEPs,
- support on-going school-wide goals in the area of literacy.
