Part Time Preschool Teacher at Wright Start Preschool - Seacoast School of Technology
Position PurposeUnder the general supervision of the Principal or designee, The Wright Start Preschool teacher maximizes the learning experience of the preschool students enrolled in the Wright Start Preschool as part of the Careers in Education program at Seacoast School of Technology. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering preschool curriculum for the preschool students. In addition, the teacher will also supervise and embed learning activities for the Careers in Education students who serve as student teachers in the preschool. As a member of an instructional team, the teacher works collaboratively with the Careers in Education teacher and a teaching assistant to provide a multi-faceted program that offers a myriad of opportunities for growth for all preschool students and the students in the Careers in Education program.

Essential Functions
CTE -Specific Functions:
- Comply with NH Childcare Licensing rules
- Understands and implements a strong play-based learning curriculum.
- Supervise storage and use of school-opwned materials, equipment, tools, and donated materials to prevent loss or abuse.
- Prepare short and long-term budgets and assist with the procurement of supplies and equipment specific to the program.
- Develop and maintain industry partnerships to ensure that the program is aligned with industry needs.
- Continued knowlege of best practices and curriculum for preschool students.
- Work with CTE staff to fulful the mission of Career and Technical Education.
- Tuition and enrollment - The teacher will manage the enrollment of preschool students and serve as fiscal agent for the Wright Start Preschool enterprise account.
- Establish and maintain standards of pupil contact needed to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in an activity-based classroom.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable room and lab environment.
- Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings, or by conducting research, and by maintaining professional relationships with members of institutions of higher learning and the business community.
- Organizes and maintains systems for accurate and complete record-keeping
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and best practices as related to instruction and curriculum at the appropriate learning level.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson development, and personalized learning for regular and special education students.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents, and others.
- Basic knowledge and ability to use current technology tools for instruction and professional tasks.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and inclusivity as related to student performance, educational practices.

Qualifications Profile
- Certification/License: NH State Certification in Early Childhood Education (N-3)
- Bachelors degree preferred, from an accredited college or university in Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels preferred.
