Special Education Teacher - HCSD (25-26)

Haverhill Cooperative School District is seeking an energetic, organized, and highly collaborative special educator. Candidates must possess a Special Educator Certification (1912) or a NH Dept. of Education Statement of Eligibility for Special Education. This position provides instruction to students according to their academic and developmental needs and supports the integration of instruction in reading, writing, and math into the classrooms. This position involves close collaboration with classroom teachers and other special educators both in and out of the regular classroom environment. In addition to direct instruction of students, duties include but are not limited to: * Provide modified academic instruction to students w/a range of disabilities w/in the regular classroom setting and in resource room settings • Modify/adapt materials/lessons in accordance w/students' needs and IEP goals • Collaborate/consult w/ related service providers, other special educators, and general educators • Supervise Paraprofessional(s) • Conduct assessments, write reports and participate in IEP team meetings • Write & implement IEP's and progress reports; maintain and appropriately distribute related data and documentation. • Establish and maintain excellent communication with colleagues and parents
