What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Part Time Occupational Therapist position at SAU 36 White Mountains Reg School District?
Part Time Occupational Therapist to provide OT services to WMRSD students attending Heartwood Charter School and other students, if applicable. The occupational therapist evaluates and provides therapeutic interventions to students with disabilities that impact their ability to participate in school activities, focusing on areas like fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and cognitive skills, by developing individualized education plans (IEPs) to address specific needs within the classroom environment, collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to optimize student learning and participation.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify areas of occupational performance deficits in students, including sensory integration, motor skills, visual-motor coordination, and adaptive skills.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop individualized education plans outlining specific goals, interventions, and progress monitoring strategies for each student.
Provide individualized occupational therapy sessions to students, utilizing various therapeutic activities to address identified needs, such as handwriting exercises, sensory integration activities, adaptive equipment training, and self-care skill development.
