What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 WMRSD School Psychologist position at SAU 36 White Mountains Reg School District?
The WMRSD is seeking a full-time School Psychologist. The School Psychologist works to prevent, assess, identify, and provide intervention strategies for learning and psychological challenges experienced by children ages 3-21 residing within the White
Mountains Regional School District. The School Psychologist provides district leadership to improve academic achievement, promote positive behavior and mental health, support diverse learners, create safe and positive school climates, and improve school-wide assessment and accountability through interpretation of data. We employ two school psychologists to work together in a collegial partnership.
Responsibilities:
Complete psycho-educational evaluations, analyze results, and write reports for students who have been referred through a special education or Section 504 process.
Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans including recommending specific goals, accommodations/modifications, and services for students who experience disorders requiring specialized instruction or accommodations.
Participate in eligibility, initial and annual IEP/504 meetings, and other meetings as deemed
appropriate by the Building Principal and/or Director of Student Services
Provide occasional direct services on an individual, small-group, or classroom basis as
requested by the Director of Student Services
Consult with and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring students suspected as
having learning challenges
Maintain an inventory of materials, assessments, and therapy supplies
Keep abreast of best practices in school psychology and mental/behavioral health practice as
part of the continuing professional development process.
