We are seeking individuals who are committed to working as a team member, knowledgeable in best practices and willing to share in new adventures.Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrated instructional skills and strategiesat the elementarylevel.- Enthusiastic, articulate, creative, people-oriented, and caring.- Committed to the elementary school philosophy and familiar with elementary curriculum and resources.- Excellent communication skills, well-organized, efficient, reliable, independent, and well-developed collaborative skills.Position PurposeUnder the general supervision of the school principal, to develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for expression and creativity in music, as well as understanding and appreciation by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to performing assigned tasks; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.Essential Functions- Implements curriculum consistent with school district expectations.- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to student learning.- Develops lesson plans, instructional materials, and authenticlearning experiences capitalizing on available instructional time.- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs.- Continues to acquire professional knowledge by setting professional devleopment goals and engaging in professional learning to meet outlined goals.- Promotes the love and joy of music and the arts with elementary students.- Leads schoolwide music performances and events for students and the community.- Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.- Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, especially within a grade level, to discuss curriculum implementation and pacing, and participatesin faculty meetings and committees.- Supervises students in activities that take place out of the classroom during the school day, including activities involving school transportation.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy including differentiatedinstruction.- Knowledge of state standards and elementary instructional methods.- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the developmentof action plans.- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.- Ability to use classroom technology and and software applications as needed.- Ability to organize and coordinate work.- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.- Demonstrated commitment to, Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners.Certification / License: NH Certification: Music Education (1200)EducationMinimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in music educationor related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.Before beginning employment in this position, individuals will be required to provide proof of certification/licenses, official copies of all transcripts, and a completed I-9 Form.
