MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL HEAD COACH – CLAREMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL
OVERVIEW
- Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, High School Head Coach and the Middle School Head Football Coach, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Football program
- Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere
- Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School and Claremont Middle School Football program to the parents, and community
ABILITY TO:
- Work cooperatively with the athletic director and head coach, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS and CMS Football
- Motivate and connect with our student athletes
- Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 6-12
- Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes
- Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive football program
- Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes
- Utilize Strength & Conditioning Coach for conditioning of student athetes
- High School Football and the complexities of the game/events
- Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures
- Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes
- Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes
- Superior organizational skills
- Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training
- NFHS and NHIAA coaching requirements
- At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
