Venue Manager

Our Venue Manager will oversee the operations and events for SAUCED, ensuring the seamless execution of a diverse range of experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and cultural curation, with a knack for connecting brands, artists, chefs, and the community through unique events. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, strong sales acumen, and the ability to create unforgettable guest experiences. The Venue Manager will be instrumental in positioning SAUCED as a premier cultural destination where music, food, and creativity thrive.

Venue Manager Responsibilities

Operational Oversight :

  • Develop and maintain efficient event management systems, from booking software to on-site coordination.
  • Manage event logistics, including vendor coordination, AV setups, and food and beverage arrangements, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships with regard to food and beverage purchases, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, including AV, catering, and production needs; work alongside Chef’s with respect to food purchases and inventory levels.
  • Manage and optimize POS and inventory systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Recruit, train, and manage team members, including writing and maintaining schedules, and managing HR including payroll and compliance through our HR partner, Modern Currency.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and training, ensuring the team is prepared to deliver exceptional service for every event type.
  • Conduct weekly team and 1x1 meetings with Captains and hotel team to ensure effective communication across the field organization
  • Respond proactively to guest inquiries, reviews, and feedback, ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Event and Client Management :

  • Develop and execute a diverse calendar of events, including live music nights, guest chef dinners, corporate and private bookings, brand-sponsored activations, and community-focused gatherings.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with booking agents, chefs, brand partners, corporate event planners, and food influencers.
  • Lead sales efforts for private bookings and brand partnerships, including cold outreach, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Manage CRM systems to track client interactions, event inquiries, and sponsorship opportunities, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship-building.
  • Sales Strategy & Financial Management :

  • Set and achieve sales targets across various event types, from ticketed chef dinners to brand-sponsored events.
  • Create and implement pricing strategies that include flexible tiers for small-scale gatherings to large-scale branded events.
  • Develop and manage budget by working closely with the finance team to prepare monthly financial reports, analyzing performance against sales goals, event profitability, and cost management.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through sponsorship packages, multi-event bookings, and partnerships with brands in music, fashion, food, and tech.
  • Analyze and report on the ROI of brand partnerships, ensuring alignment with SAUCED’s cultural vision and long-term goals.
  • Marketing & Promotion :

  • Drive digital marketing efforts to promote events, utilizing social media, SAUCED’s website, and SAUCED Radio for brand engagement.
  • Develop SEO strategies and targeted Google Ads campaigns to attract sponsors and attendees for branded events.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners to create compelling content that showcases SAUCED’s events and cultural impact.
  • Customer Experience & Community Building :

  • Curate and deliver immersive experiences for guests, ensuring every event—whether a chef dinner or a brand activation—leaves a lasting impression.
  • Collect guest and partner feedback, using insights to enhance future event offerings.
  • Develop initiatives that connect SAUCED with the local community, such as hosting art shows, film screenings, and community fundraisers.
  • Organize post-event follow-ups with key clients and sponsors, offering new opportunities for collaboration and future events.
  • Performance Evaluation Parameters :

  • Target Labor Costs (Target : 23%)
  • Target Food & Beverage Costs (Target : 25%)
  • Target Profit Margin (Target : 30%)
  • Sales Growth Targets  (Based on double digit growth YRs 1-3)
  • Brand Partnership Success Metrics (ROI and Engagement)
  • Customer Satisfaction Scores and Feedback
  • Team Performance & Training Metrics
  • Compensation Package :

  • Base Salary : $70,000
  • Sales Commission : 4% commission on buyouts above $12,000.
  • Performance-Based Bonus : Up to $10,000 annually based on achieving target performance parameters.

  • Professional Development : One approved course per year (e.g., Event Management or Hospitality Marketing).
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the development of new locations and expand SAUCED’s event programming.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the growth and vision of SAUCED.
