What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Electrical Controls Technician position at Sauder Family Companies?
The successful applicant will be responsible for installation of electrical control systems for production and facility equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build control panels per specifications, under the guidance of electrical engineering.
Installation/modification of conduit and wiring for machines and controls.
Install, startup and debug electrical control systems by utilizing electrical schematics, PLC programming printouts, PLC programming software and HMI diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoots advanced PLC hardware such as: high speed counters, position data feedback, analog and digital technology systems, network distributed I/O, communication, and other higher function cards.
Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting of production machines (480-volt 3 phase, 240-volt 3 phase, 120-volt single phase, 24-volt DC, VFD/motor/control circuits, solid state relays, PLC)
Perform machine installation, rigging and hoisting.
Comply with prescribed safety regulations.
Utilizes CMMS to: create, maintain, and close work-orders and time cards.
Researches and orders part replacements.
Documents work order statuses and other pertinent information.
Provides technical assistance and leadership to others.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree or equivalent in training, education or 5 years of experience in maintenance and controls
Excellent communication skills.
Previous maintenance experience with electrical, PLC and PC, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Self-motivated and positive attitude.
PAY SUMMARY
Expected offer: $22.50 - $30.25/hour. The actual pay will be based on factors such as relevant experience and skills. The max salary listed is not the top of the salary band.
Salary : $23 - $30
