What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demand Planning Analyst position at Sauder Family Companies?
Sauder Woodworking is looking for a Demand Planning Analyst who will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient distribution of products to meet customer demand. This position involves analyzing and forecasting product demand, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to optimize the supply chain process.
This role is hybrid eligible and will require a minimum of 3 days in office. Must be in a commutable distance of Archbold, Ohio to be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Interprets demand information from forecasts, sales orders, and inquiries, and supply information such as inventory, production schedules, and import schedules to:
Balance customer requirements against finished goods inventory and production/import capacities across all customer/item/location combinations.
Allocate finished goods inventory to customers according to established procedures.
Manages fulfillment of stock transfers to all warehouse locations (EDC, Castlegate, and 3PLs.)
Works directly with Sauder Global Sourcing (SGS), merchants, and other members of the sales and marketing team to manage the transition of factory resourcing projects, considering timing, inventory and domestic and import production and shipping schedules.
Analyzes demand and determines if changes need to be made to item mix across locations and makes recommendations for continuous optimization of resources.
Maintains demand planning system (SAP DP), including daily activities associated with the entry and revision of planning information and master data.
Tracks orders through Sauder order processing systems (SAP S4) to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment.
Provides product availability information and works through minor allocation issues directly with Sales, Transportation Planning, warehouse, and other personnel; major allocation issues are discussed with Demand Planning Manager, and/or Director, Demand Planning for direction.
Works with customers’ merchandising and replenishment staffs to promote cooperation and understanding using electronic data transfers, internet sites, and direct contact as tools for communication.
Arranges data and other information into usable reports, including charts and graphs, that are supplied to Sauder and customer management personnel. Offers recommendations when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; Associate’s degree plus a minimum of 2-4 years of experience; minimum of 5-7 years of experience; or combination of education and experience.
Proficient in MS Office
Background in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, or similar function is preferred
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to gather and review information and problem solve
PAY SUMMARY
Expected offer range: $57,000 - $76,000/year. The actual salary will be based on factors such as relevant experience and skills. The max salary listed is not the top of the salary band.
