What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Sauder Family Companies?
The forklift driver provides support to manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports production by retrieving, delivering and organizing supplies, materials, inventory, and data.
Process daily workload assignments to achieve on time and complete shipments.
Performs quality inspections and makes consistent quality judgments.
Performs computer interactions and maintains other records / documentation as required.
Supply work centers with needed materials
Load finished good trailers for distribution center
Unload containers and trailers of incoming material
Receiving and inventory duties as required
Flexibility is a must as all drivers will be required to learn all driving positions and other positions in the department
QUALIFICATIONS
Good communication skills
Self motivated and positive attitude
Forklift license required or willingness to obtain one; will be required to go through Sauder forklift certification
Must be flexible to work where needed
PAY SUMMARY
We currently have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift positions available. 1st shift typically starts at $16.50/hour and 2nd/3rd shifts have a $2 shift premium. Wages may be adjusted for welcome back's or experience. We also offer two performance-based increases in the first year - earn up to $20/hour in year one.
