What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate II position at Sauder Family Companies?
Position Summary:
The Shipping Associate II will package, prepare and load product for safe shipping.
Prepare product for shipment including; labeling, packaging, wrapping, and staging
Load product on trucks for safe shipping and receiving by customer
Verify accurate product is loaded based on packing slip
Product Knowledge
Ability to use computer as needed
May be required to obtain forklift license
Position Requirements:
Attention to fine detail/ must be detail-oriented
Regular lifting of product up to 50lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Regular maneuvering and position of product using pallet jack or carts up to 2,000 lbs.
Requires full shift of standing, walking, carrying product, bending and lifting.
Able to use handheld power tools with accuracy and precision.
Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal.
Able to assist in training employees
Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Experience and Knowledge Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous Manufacturing or Shipping Experience preferred
