Job Description
750.00 SIGN ON BONUS plus 75.00 WEEKLY ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE
This is a 1st shift position at our Ephrata Plant:
The Grader Operator is responsible for the set-up and continuous operation of the processing machine.
The Grader operator is to balance and control the machine to maximize high outputs of cases per hour while controlling the percent of Grade A loss to a minimum standard set by Sauder’s expectations.
Work Schedule:
Days - Monday to Friday
Hours - 6:15 am to 4:30 or until orders are complete
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up packing lanes with assigned cartons and flats, adjusting as needed.
- Enter all information for each lot and communicate all changes to plant personnel.
- Responsible for proper dates and flock codes on all cartons and eggs are legible.
- Follow a production schedule to ensure all orders are completed.
- Communicate changeovers to the production team promptly to insure efficiency.
- Communicate promptly when a count is needed to change products.
- Monitor scale settings and line speed to minimize downtime.
- Notify maintenance immediately when experiencing issues that are affecting shift.
- Maintain a well-balanced machine by assigning the proper number of packing lanes to handle the percent of each egg Grade.
- Review schedule against orders to ensure they are completed.
- Maintains a clean floor area
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have good organizational skills and the ability to handle distractions and manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Must have good communication skills
- Basic Computer and Math Skills
- Must be able to stand 8 hours at a time; reach, bend, and squat; push/pull constantly; and lift 30-40 pounds
