Job Summary :
The 2nd Shift Manager for Sauer Brands, Inc., is responsible for supervising and directing the daily activities of all team members in the production department as well as the sanitation associates. Sanitation experience is a plus.
The successful candidate will be able to perform job hazard analysis with assistance of the Safety Leader and Operations Manager. Minimizing line downtime, increasing efficiency, managing employee absences and performance issues will be among the pillars for success. As a Sauer Brands team member, the candidate will execute special projects, initiatives as assigned, accept safety as a condition, support factory operations as well as overseeing the sanitation associates. Furthermore, the candidate must embrace and support the building of the Sauer Brands Recipe.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensure product conformance and line efficiencyDirect setup and adjustments of production machines / linesInterprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns dutiesEstablishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedulesRecommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productSuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production lines, department, or work crewUnderstand utilize and be able to train staff on ERP and OEE systemsWork cross-functionally with all departmentsMaster Scheduler, Buyers and other supply chain staffQuality AssuranceSafety role modelSupports an injury-free workplace by modeling good safety habitsEnsures PPE is worn by staff as requiredInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulationsLeadershipSupervise and lead staff with a servant leader perspectiveAnalyzes and resolves or assists workers in resolving personnel problemsInitiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goalsCulture BuildingAct as a servant leaderWork in a customer-centric mannerRepresent the company positively through supplier relationsSupport the Production Manager as necessary with projects or necessary researchConduct Risk Management and / or Job Hazard AnalysisWhat We Are Looking For :
