Overall Goal of the Brand Marketing Assistant Position:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Brand Marketing Assistant to join our Spices marketing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the execution of the marketing strategy for Sauer Brand’s Spice Portfolio – Kernel Seasons, Spice Hunter, Sauers and Private Label – and to directly impact the way customers interact with our portfolio of brands. As the Brand Marketing Assistant in the Spices Business Unit, you will play a crucial role in the success and reputation of our products and brands in the market.
Brand Marketing Assistant Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Marketing (50%): supports the execution of marketing strategy
Assists with campaign execution across all branded initiatives.
Assists with category insights, market research projects and sensory testing.
Gathers and reports on category trends via store walks, consumer reports, and social listening.
Monitors customer satisfaction via online reviews and internal consumer relations reports, reporting out key insights and recommendations.
Assists with developing sales collateral (sell sheets, pitch decks).
Attends and coordinates marketing trade shows and supports sales team with selling trade shows.
Marketing Operations (50%)
Assists Innovation Manager with project management, timelines, notes, and KPI and pipeline tracking.
Assists brand team with customer pitch presentation development and coordination on cross-functional inputs. Tracks customer pitch schedule ensuring presentations are developed on time.
Assist brand team with e-commerce set up, including product copy and coordinating imagery needs with graphic designer.
Owns developing swag (merch), assists with influencer boxes, and management of swag inventory, and facilitates product sample orders as needed.
Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance) for the Brand Marketing Assistant:
The Brand Marketing Assistant will be measured against a combination of overall Spice Business Unit success as well as brand specific performance. As well as leadership skills including:
Executing initiatives on time with strong project management skills.
Leading and influencing cross-functionally on joint deliverables.

Must be Richmond area based
Hybrid work environment (50% in office)
Some travel required (10%)
