Overall Goal of Position: This position is responsible for keeping a variety of machines, appliances, and mechanical systems operating safely and efficiently, by conducting preventive maintenance and responding to requests for equipment assistance to help maintain optimized production flow and helping to make OurRecipe@SauerBrands.   Job Summary Maintains the efficient operation of plant systems and machinery by responding to requests for equipment assistance, trouble shooting, correcting machine problems, and conducting Preventative Maintenance tasks to support operations in production and throughout the plant.  Reports to Maintenance Manager.What Is In It For You Our company acknowledges talented people are attracted to companies that provide competitive pay, comprehensive benefits packages, and outstanding advancement opportunities. Performs machine setups, installations and changeovers. Performs routine inspection, emergency/unscheduled repairs and preventive maintenance repairs of production equipment. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Reads and interprets blueprints, equipment/repair manuals, parts catalogs and work orders. Diagnoses problems, replaces or repair parts, tests and makes adjustments. Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detects faulty operations, defective material and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Creates/fabricates parts as needed. Opens/closes facility as directed.
