SANITATION TECHNICIANJob SummaryPrimary responsibilities include monitoring and safely controlling the Wastewater System so that water leaving this facility exceeds the requirements of the county. Included in overall duties is to disassemble and assemble wastewater equipment, operate equipment record and report accurate measurements and counts, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment. Maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 11:00 pm$18.25/Hour $1.75/hour Shift Differential

What will you do?
Operate PLC based computerized system.
Take the initiative to organize and perform all job functions to fulfill requirements of wastewater quality by the State and County.
Take necessary action to ensure discharge water quality.
Assist with troubleshooting system problems.
Complete required reports.
Communicate clearly with others in process, sanitation, and support positions.
Safely operate forklift and pallet jack to move materials.
Regular attendance is an essential part of this function.
Follow and adhere to safety, operating, AIB, and GMP procedures.
Train co-workers in operation of system and procedures as directed.
Other functions as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will have:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months-related experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of the formulation process is very beneficial.

Successful Attributes:
Understanding of cleaning chemicals and their uses and precautions.
Knowledge of soils and soil elimination.
Possesses a strong attention to detail.
Self-starter with the capacity to work with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.
Can easily adapt to change in the work environment.
Ability to follow safety protocols and properly don Personal Protective Equipment as required
Physical Attributes:
Ability to lift, up to 30 lbs.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Read and interpret documents.
Work in a manufacturing environment: noise, heat, cold, machinery, etc.
