Web Developer and Shopify Admin

Job Summary of the Web Developer and Shopify Admin: Responsible for managing and expanding our online properties for brands like Duke’s Mayonnaise, Kernel Seasons, and Mateo’s Salsa. The Shopify Admin and Web Developer will be involved in all aspects of web design and development, including efficient fixed content sites, Duke’s Mayo College Bowl game content, consumer marketing and contests, website navigation and ADA compliance (leveraging Accessibe), and Shopify configuration sand coding for product pages, checkout, cart abandonment, and post checkout interactions.   Web Developer and Shopify Admin Key Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the development of the Shopify Plus platform, themes, liquid programming language and corresponding apps Help integrate item master, inventory sync, orders, and shipments with Shopify Plus Knowledgeable in security / personal data protection principals Developing testing plans and troubleshooting issues related to website issues Conducting root cause analysis and determining/developing corresponding action items Implement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer tools   Performance Standards (the criteria that will be used to evaluate performance) for the Web Developer and Shopify Admin: Business Key Performance Indicators Overall website maintenance and patching for updates and security Delivery of website content and capabilities on schedule Help drive traffic and conversion to meet annual ecommerce sales objectives Shopify integration for item master, inventory, orders, and shipping Reporting Work with brand managers to report on relevant website statistics including traffic, sales, cart abandonment, promotions, etc.   What We Are Looking For in a Web Developer and Shopify Admin: Personal Characteristics Professional Demeanor Overall confidence in one abilities and comfortable communicating the facts  Character and Integrity-Does the right thing even when no one is looking Disciplined approach, and accountable for KPIs Dependable team player with positive attitude Determination/Grit-Pursuit of Excellence Performance History Documented history of making improvements in assigned work area/responsibilities Stellar references based on contributions and performance Demonstrated proficiency in the following Areas Experience configuring the tools and content of a site to help drive traffic through SEO, SEM, and Adwords Experience configuring couponing and other loyalty programs inside an ecommerce site Experience building and executing website tests (A/B testing) Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools Experience developing for responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobile Experience with Shopify's theming system and Liquid templating Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps as well as creating custom solutions if necessary Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields Experience integrating multi-channel consumer touchpoint capabilities into websites, including email and chat Education & Experience:  Bachelor's degree preferred 3-6 Years of experience in Website Development Strong experience with Shopify Plus Knowledge of W3C standards, including web accessibility standards (to support ADA compliance) Experience with designing and/or integrating graphics, media and interactive elements to a website, including the use of HTML5 React – JSX (Using React-Router-Dom for Navigation) Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks and regulations, such as PCI DSS, CCPA, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, NIST SP 800, etc. Other Beneficial Skills:  Experience with oversight and management of vendors and contractors Experience with Consumer CRM solutions like Zoho, Hubspot, and Dynamics Experience with Supabase   What Is In It For You?Our company acknowledges talented people are attracted to companies that provide competitive pay, comprehensive benefits packages and outstanding advancement opportunities.
