Saugerties Stallions are a summer collegiate baseball league team playing in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in upstate New York. The Stallions entertain and promote baseball in the Hudson Valley community by fielding a winning baseball team and a fan first organization. Role Description

Timeline: Late May – Early August

Notes:

• Undergraduate college student is preferred but not required

• Strong preference for someone who can commit to the full season

• Baseball play-by-play experience is not required

• Summer collegiate or general baseball work experience is preferred

Qualifications

• Commentating and Broadcasting skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience in sports play-by-play

• Knowledge of baseball 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced live sports environment

• Strong improvisational skills

• Have knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

• Actively pursing a degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as one of two broadcasters for Stallions home and road games

• Co-host a pregame show prior to each home and road broadcast

• Create and update game notes and game previews throughout the season

• Assist with the development and distribution of relevant game day materials such as stat packs, team rosters, lineup sheets, box scores, and game notes

• Assist with production of the broadcast and equipment set-up/tear down

• Conduct interviews with players and coaches 

• Assist with writing post game recaps and press releases for media distribution
