Description: The Kennel Department is looking for a Full Time Animal Care Technician, must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to clean and maintain kennels using the appropriate cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals; feed, move, and handle animals without causing harm or injury to the animal; detect symptoms of animal diseases or distress; follow safety procedures in controlling and handling animals; follow written and verbal instructions; maintain accurate records; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; and communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Required qualifications: Good communication and people skills, critical evaluation and observation skills, attention to detail, animal handling experience, and ability to think quickly in difficult situations. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
