Description
We are searching for an energetic & caring individual to join our team as an Activity Assistant. This position is vital to providing a positive atmosphere within our Health Care Center.
The purpose of the Activity Assistant is to promote and maintain resident's physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual potential through a variety of individual and group, social and recreational activities at the Sauk County Health Care Center.
- This position requires applicants to become CNA certified within 6 months. Schooling is paid for by Sauk County.
- This position will receive an incentive of $2 / hour increase in pay at time of hire.
Essential Duties
Required Working Hours
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday between 9 : 00am until 7 : 30pm. Every other weekend of the month is required in addition to occasional weekend events and outings (Easter Egg Hunt & Safe Halloween events are mandatory). Please note these hours are subject to change and additional hours may be needed or required. Compensation for additional hours beyond normal working hours are subject to applicable state and federal regulations.
Minimum Training and Education
Required :
High School diploma or equivalent
Become CPR certified within 6 months of employment
Must obtain Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License within 6 months of employment.
License / Certification :
Valid Wisconsin State Motor Vehicle Operator's License
Preferred :
1 year of experience working with the elderly
Any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
