WORK HOURS:
6.5 hours per day (7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.), Monday through Friday for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.
JOB DUTIES:
Duties may include:
1. Assist student(s) with special needs throughout the school day with instruction in basic skills, social skills and routine assistance for students who need support with managing extreme behaviors, toileting, hygiene, medical and mobility needs.
2. Supervise special education student(s) to ensure safety.
3. Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma
2. Highly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals* or willing to become Highly Qualified within 60 days of employment
3. Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
4. Must be able to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
5. Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team
SALARY and BENEFITS:
Salary based on the 2023-2025 Paraprofessional Agreement Level V, Step 2 at $19.35 per hour.
