Saul Centers' primary operating strategy is to continue its program of internal growth, renovations, and expansions of community and neighborhood shopping centers that primarily service the day-to-day necessities and services subsector of the overall retail market.
This internship will be a 10-week role supporting the Finance department in several key areas including
financial analysis, peer analysis, and research.
Duties & Responsibilities
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of Saul Centers Inc. total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn and become familiar with S&P Capital IQ
- Perform a research project on peer REITs using S&P Capital IQ
- Recommend ways that the finance team can leverage the S&P Capital IQ Platform
- Perform research on early AI applications in finance and financial planning and analysis, and
- present results
- Evaluate financing options for new developments
- Evaluate financing options for the acquisition of existing operating properties
- Support the CFO in reviewing SEC financial reporting
- Assist in preparations of presentations
- Follow an education program (attached) during the internship to foster deeper understanding of
- real estate investment trusts and the economic environment in which they operate. See attached
- planned areas of discussion and review with the CFO and other members of the Finance
- Department.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to meet multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A current student or recent graduate of an Accounting or Finance program from an accredited
- college or university preferred.
- 3.0 GPA or higher.
