What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Paralegal position at Saunders & Ojeda, P.C.?
Suffolk law firm seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join our busy team. The real estate paralegal will handle the residential and commercial real estate transaction process through closing and post closing. In addition, they will support attorneys in gathering information, preparing necessary real estate documents, and other activities associated with their real estate practices. This position is for a full-time real estate paralegal. Experience with land use and zoning matters a plus but not required.
Qualified candidate must have:
- Good communication skills and work ethic
- At least 1 year of recent experience in handling real estate closings for a law firm or title company under the TRID guidelines
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, VHDA, 203K, new construction and HELOC loans
- Experience using software (i.e., Softpro; ProTrust) for Closing Disclosures and HUD-1s
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- High School degree or equivalent
A successful candidate will be able to multi-task and handle multiple deadline driven assignments concurrently in a fast paced environment. The candidate should also be positive, highly organized, detail oriented, a self-starter able to work individually and within a team.
