What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician (Marine) position at Saunders Yachtworks?
We are seeking an experienced diesel mechanic/technician who has experience working on MTU, MAN, Cat, Cummins, and Volvo Engines. Primary focus is on troubleshooting and repairing boats. Ideal candidate must have experience in marine or heavy duty equipment diesel engine repair. Position will require your own tools. If you meet these requirements, please apply.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all kinds
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair diesel engines
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components related to engines
- Conduct thorough assessment prior to starting a job including acknowledging the budgeted time
- Execute work orders to customer specification
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and receipt of parts and materials acquisition/return.

Field service diesel mechanics typically work on-site and across the Gulf Coast. Specialty tools including marine diagnostic computers and others will be provided but must have your own set of basic tools. Ability to handle physical workload, to include working in all weather conditions and overtime in order to meet deadlines.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
