Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join the growing Sav-Rx team. Our ideal candidate has Active Directory experience as well as Scripting experience. Our Technical Support Specialist will report directly to the VP of IT and will play a vital role in keeping our front line workers online and effectively working. The position is based in our Fremont, NE Office with minimal travel time required (less than 5%).
Responsibilities
· Organize, configure, and maintain equipment, such as desktops/laptops, printers, copiers, scanners, and faxes. Assess third-party applications for deployment and incorporation into existing commercial operations. Installation of new computers and peripherals.
· Provide support to other IT personnel as needed.
· Set up the computer system for new employees. Move and change user preferences and file migration as necessary.
· Implement, support, and troubleshoot incidents related to PCs/laptops/mobile devices using conventional procedures and proven guidelines.
· Manage accounts and access requests for various software as a service (SaaS) applications and Active Directory. Maintain file system security, data integrity, and password security for an organization’s desktop environment.
· Maintain documentation for software licensing and convey to information technology leadership when support or licensing needs to be renewed.
· Follow IT protocol policy and procedures.
· Implement customer service principles and standard operating procedures (SOPs) concerning remote IT support.
· Monitor and learn new developments in the IT industry.
· Handling customer technical support cases through phone and email submission
· Evaluating system potential through assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
· Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes and making recommendations
· Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components
· Achieving computer objectives through collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating options and suggesting a course of action
· Maintain client confidence by keeping their information confidential
· Preparing reference material for users by drafting operation instructions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Active directory experience
- Scripting experience (PS, Perl, Python)
- Possess simple system administrator skills, such as handling virus protection updates, domain account management, systems monitoring, and servers.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Linux, Windows, MAC
- A , N , or S CompTIA Certifications
