Following specified assembly methods to properly lock up such parts as frames, receivers, breech bolts, slides, ejectors, top snaps and related screws and pins by making simple fits using hand and light power tools.
- Ream, tap, file noncritical parts and make simple adjustments or alignment of parts for free working and proper fit.
- Uses such hand tools and holding fixtures as necessary, selects proper gauges and component parts, stamps code letters and numbers on finished work.
- Make simple tests of completed subassemblies following prescribed procedures and limits of acceptance.
- Following prescribed repair guidelines, makes repairs to rejected barrel/receiver subassemblies, as assigned.
- Maintains standard level of production output given normal level of production interference.
- Transports and maintains materials and supplies within area as required.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Maintains equipment as required.
- Follows specific safety and operating procedures.
- May train or instruct others how to perform this job.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
The job requires knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools as required. May train or instruct others how to perform this job. May perform other related duties as assigned.
