Savage is currently hiring for an Equipment Operator at our location in Elko, NV. This position will be a day shift, Wednesday to Sunday. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and professionally operating and maintaining equipment, loading and unloading in order to meet our customer’s needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operate and maintain the following:
• Yellow equipment including front loader, skid steer
• Ferrari top loader
• other rail and truck loading systems and sorters
• Perform and record pre-shift inspections
• Follow established guidelines in providing preventative maintenance for all facilities and equipment
• Ordering, tracking, and maintaining the inventory of parts needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

This is what we need from you:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Multiple years of experience in an industrial and or rail settings is preferred
• Skilled in operating various equipment such as a loader, backhoe, dozer, bobcat, etc.
• Willing to attend additional training needed to perform the job
• Logical thinking and possess good troubleshooting skills
• Work in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Work at heights, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders
• Walk on uneven ground up to 3 miles per shift
• Must be able to pass a fit test and pulmonary function test for the purposes of wearing a respirator and recertify annually or as needed
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently
