This is a Night Shift position.Requirements and responsibilities of a successful CDL Driver:High School Diploma or GEDCurrent Class A CDL requiredCurrent TWIC requiredTwo years of truck driving experience preferredAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishWork weekends and holidays as scheduledAble to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks and successfully pass Savage's road test, which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicleInteract professionally with Savage Team Members, customer representatives, and other personnel on a daily basis. Should have an understanding of—and appreciation for—customer service and have strong communication and interpersonal skillsEnsure that the tractor and trailer meets or exceeds operational safety standards and report any issues to the maintenance crew, if neededAssist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary in order to meet customer expectationsHere are some of the physical requirements of this role:Climb into and out of cab multiple times per shiftClimb a ladder and steps 10 or more times a dayLift 50 or more pounds daily while climbing stepsDrive and work in adverse weather conditionsHook and unhook hoses and open and close valvesAbility to work and complete a 12-hr shiftAbility to work up to 6 days in a week
