Director of Reliability

The Basics   Location: You will based in the Midwest and the work will take place at various grain elevators, flour mills and soybean processing plants located throughout the Midwest and in North Carolina. This position will require travel to all locations Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience Days/Hours:  Typically, you will work Monday-Friday and you are home most weekends. This will include, but not be limited to: Coordinates the development, management, assessments, and initiatives of the organization’s reliability program Manages the organization’s maintenance, reliability, permitting, designs, installations, optimizations, compliance, and enhancement of operating facilities Ensures all facilities are safe and compliant with all applicable codes Establishes procedures and training criteria for facility personnel Coordinates the department's internship program Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to the team Acts as a lead or first level supervisor   Requirements to be successful in this position: Comprehensive knowledge of the industry standards and principles with a minimum 10 years of experience Background/experience with the current SIMON Maintenance system is preferred Bachelor's Degree in agricultural-related studies or Business with relevant work experience is strongly preferred. Able to handle complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter Adaptability and able travel extensively US and Mexico Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English   Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: This job can be physically strenuous You will work in tight and confined spaces You will work at heights You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs You will be required to wear PPE which will include respirators in certain areas You will be exposed to the weather, including extreme heat and/or cold, wind, rain, snow, and other adverse weather conditions Must be able to walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces You will be exposed to various site hazards, including but not limited to loud noises and flashing lights, dust and fumes, hazardous materials, heavy equipment and machinery, and other situations specific to the work and location
