The Mechanic is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Savage Maintenance Program. Maintaining and repairing the equipment.
Here is what you will be doing:
Perform pre/post-shift equipment inspections
Maintain and report spare parts inventory
Properly record and complete maintenance reports and service records with the CMMS cloud base software
Repair and maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyors, and mobile and plant-specific equipment
Complete PM services on plant and process equipment
Must be willing to perform any other tasks assigned by management
Identify areas for improvement with equipment and systems
Complete special projects/fabrications when asked
Work on and inspection Locomotives
Supports the Savage S7 Delivery System
Requirements of a successful Mechanic:
High School Diploma
Experience with automated equipment and basic computers is a plus
Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting background
Minimum of 5 years of experience with pumps, electric motors, valves, small motors, large diesel engines, and compressors
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:
Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend a ladder
Stand, kneel, or crawl
Work in all types of weather conditions
Salary : $28 - $36
