The successful MSHA Electrician candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Savage Maintenance Program. You will be responsible for all maintenance and electrical work at our Local Savage Operations. Here is what you will be doing:
Maintain and execute regular and irregular maintenance schedules on electrical systems around the operation
Exhibit knowledge of high voltage switchgear, motors, MSHA regulations, instrumentation, switches, controls and other electrical components in an industrial setting
Work a flexible work schedule in a safe manor with minimal supervision
Team player with abilities to work with other team members
Willing to do any task(s) that require(s) attention
Requirements of a successful Electrician:
1 years of industrial electrician experience
Current MSHA Surface Certification
Read, write and understand English
Follow written and/or verbal instructions
Comprehend electrical drawings
Industrial or Power plant experience a plus
Basic computer (XP, windows, excel, etc.) a must
Electrical certifications a plus
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:
Work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
Climb up and down ladders and equipment safely
Comfortable with heights
Carry at least fifty (50) pound
