Here is what you will be doing:
Daily unloading of a variety of dry products
Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
Enforce safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
Perform general maintenance on equipment
Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep and painting)
Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team Members and visitors
Transporting products from one site to another as needed
Requirements of a successful Transload Operator:
Understand and follow operating procedures and policies
Operate or learn to operate rail car loading systems and equipment
Perform work safely and productively
Safely deliver product to customer facility
Interested in being cross trained on all functions at facility
Class A CDL license is a plus
Read, write, and understand English
Maintain rail car/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
Travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary; may be for up to a week at a time
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:
Climb up and down rail cars/ladders safely
Work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
Carry at least fifty (50) pounds independently
