Job Description
General Statement of Duties:
- Participates in the general maintenance of a drilling rig.
Supervision Received:
- Receives directions from the Driller and overall supervision from the Rig Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
- Not Applicable
Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):
- Perform assigned tasks safely, efficiently and within the parameters of Company policies;
- Utilize tongs to connect and disconnect drill pipe/equipment as it is being lowered or raised;
- Clean and maintain equipment;
- Assist other members of the crew as needed;
- Clean, scrub, and paint the rig floor and rig in general;
- Drive mobile equipment and run general errands as required;
- Take an appropriate part in closing in the well if required;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Relevant functional and technical skills;
- Team-orientation and the ability to build good relationships with bosses and peers;

- Commitment to his/her own learning & development and is able to learn on the fly, particularly with regard to technical skills;

- Knowledge of rig equipment and safety practices;
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
- Must have valid H2S Alive ticket, Standard First Aid ticket, and eGSO;
- Relevant experience of field work in the oilfield services industry;
- Completion of Savanna’s Greenhand Program.
