PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for the entry and maintenance of information relating to Disbursements and the production of checks for Accounts Payable functions.
REPORTS TO: Disbursements Manager, Accounts Payable
SALARY SCHEDULE: G-8
WORK DAYS: 250
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education Level: A GED or a standard high school diploma from a GaDOE-approved and accredited institution is required.
Preferred:
- Coursework in business education or accounting
- Experience, Skill, and Certification:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs
- Proficiency in the use of standard business office equipment
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy
- Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
Preferred:
- 2 years accounting experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Works with all Accounts Payable related functions including, but not limited to, preparing invoices for payment, reconciling vendor statements, recording disbursements, assisting employees and vendors, filing, scanning and preparing checks.
- Reviews incoming records and requests to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Ensures that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains files and records as appropriate.
- Maintains appropriate, professional relationships with contacts in other departments and schools.
- Maintains confidentiality of information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This is a 250 day position. (G-8)
