PRIMARY FUNCTION : This position is responsible for planning, installing, and supporting Cisco UCS environment, servers, uninterruptable power system (UPS) devices, storage systems, and environmental controls for the district's data centers and other sites.
REPORTS TO : Director, Network and Engineering Services
SALARY SCHEDULE : A-5M
WORK DAYS : 250
REQUIREMENTS :
- Education Level : Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or technical institute OR Technical industry certification (MCSE or CCNP) with three years of work experience as noted below
- Experience, Skill, and Certification :
- Minimum two years' work experience in a hybrid LAN / WAN network environment
- Working technical knowledge of Microsoft IIS, Microsoft ISA, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Operations Manager
- Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and mainframe applications
- Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of server hardware and associated network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I / O topology
- Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools
- General knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN or NAS, as well as Active Directory / Global Catalogue
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Window Server
- Experienced in Active Directory and Group Policy implantation and cleanup
- Strong familiarity with DNS and TCP / IP networking
- Strong Skills in VMware 6.5, 6.7& 7.0
- Hands on experience with Cisco UCS.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and provide documentation covering network hardware, software, and processes
- Strong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to write comprehensive reports, conduct presentations, training sessions, and meetings
- Proven interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service and to show teamwork skills even in stressful situations; demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered "at will." Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade A-5M of the Administrator Scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. This is an exempt position working 250 work calendar days.
