- Demonstrate expertise in instructional practices, management, and assessments.

- Coach a minimum of 2 seasons per school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum development. Create lesson plans aligned with applicable standards and student needs, incorporating diverse teaching methods and activities to cater to different learning styles.
- Instructional delivery. Teach concepts clearly and effectively, utilizing visual aids, technology, and real-world applications to enhance understanding.
- Student assessment. Regularly monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation to identify strengths and areas needing additional support.
- Individualized learning. Provide differentiated instruction to address the diverse needs of students, offering extra help or enrichment activities as required.
- Classroom management. Maintain a positive and structured learning environment, promoting active participation and student engagement.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance, progress, and any concerns.
- Professional development. Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on current teaching strategies and best practices.
Requirements
Education:
- A BS in Kinesiology or related field; Master's Degree preferred
- Background in Physical Education and/or Strength & Conditioning
Physical Education Required skills:
- Develop motor skills while encouraging teamwork and a positive learning environment
- Teach various sports, exercise routines, and health-related concepts
- Motivate active participation
- Reinforce expectations for athlete conduct that mirror the school’s expectations for curricular and extra-curricular activities
- Collaborate with athletic performance director to develop an introductory program for 8th graders so they are prepared to meet the needs of freshman weight lifting
- Assist with speed development throughout our entire middle school athletic programs
