The Savannah Convention Center is currently seeking a full-time Catering Coordinator to join our family! Be a part of our recently expanded 660,000 square foot Savannah Convention Center located directly across from historic Savannah and on the Savannah River. This is a highly responsible position which provides support to the Event Services and Food & Beverage Departments. In addition to providing a high level of client interaction. This position is also responsible for administrative and customer service duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. 2 years related administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicates with clients in a timely manner on Food & Beverage information to include menus, schedules, set-ups, numbers, etc. and to produce Banquet Event Orders timely.
- Develop proposals for potential clients and follow through on pending bookings.
- Attends internal event-related meetings and relays immediate changes as applicable with other departments.
- Attends pre-planning/pre-cons and site visits as it relates to Food & Beverage.
- Assist the Food & Beverage team with the production and maintenance of reports.
- Produce all signage needed for catering buffet events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Answer phones in a professional manner.
- Professional attire and appearance are essential.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage workload using own initiative.
- Ability to multi-task and work well independently and as a team player.
- High degree of integrity, compliance and attention to detail
- Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up & completion
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills to include both oral and written.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office and database systems are essential to include speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required to perform duties and responsibilities in addition to standing for long periods.
